Response to The Importance of Property in Land Part 1
I wanted to post this directly to Mr. Stolyarov's page, but his submission system is currently broken. Below is my preliminary response to The Vital Importance of Property in Land.
An Election-Inspired Rant Addressed to Republicans, Democrats, and Libertarians
Anyone who knows me knew this had to be coming. I am disappointed in all three groups and I'll not hold back though I'll include some fun pictures to soften the blows.
Conspiracy Theorists Hurt Liberty Movement
This post has been a long time coming. After the recent Piers Morgan / Alex Jones interview (the first two minutes of which were fine but then Alex went off on so many topics that he lost all credibility), I decided it was finally time to put fingers to keyboard. In the interest of full disclosure, I used to be what some would derogatorily call a conspiracy theorist. While I still believe that many things did not go as they were officially reported, I no longer base my life around that. I've learned to step back and look at the system which allows such things and I feel my efforts are more effective because of it.
On Aspies : Why Taking Things to their Logical Conclusion isn't Usually Accepted
"The perfect is the enemy of the good."
I'm writing this article primarily for libertarians who I count as my brothers and sisters. Libertarians tend to be overrepresented in the IT field. There are several possible reasons for this including having a career currently in high demand and believing that opportunities abound more than they actually do for people with skill sets less in demand.
I'm not going to go that route, I'm going to go another one - the IT crowd and libertarians hate compromises, special cases, and hard-coded values. The IT crowd tends to look for patterns from which to extract generalizations. While there may be a few considerations to balance, they're usually of a processing time versus memory versus development time nature and are fairly easy to optimize as compared to the much messier set of goals found in politics and society.

On Guns and Guerillas
Guerrilla warfare works, gun control reduces the effectiveness of fighting tyranny, the police are a gang, bureaucracies cover their ass. This one has it all! And now, part 2!
Overmanian Ethics
I feel like having a little fun today. In the spirit of non-value-subjective moral systems, I'm going to create one (at least as non-subjective as any other which claims to be) and use it against those who are unable or unwilling to "own their values."
Oh, Here We Go Again
I'm going to speak slowly and clearly for the people in the cheap seats: society's goals are not necessarily your goals!
Network Security Methods of Analysis Under Attack
Andrew "Weev" Auernheimer has been convicted of federal hacking charges (really cracking, but apparently prosecutors aren't smart enough to understand the difference). This guy has a checkered past, but as a software engineer, I have to agree with The Washington Post that the conviction sets a bad precedent.
Given my stance that functional (that is, motivational) right and wrong are relative to desires, you might not agree with my position on this matter. I can only try to convince you by appealing to what desires you already have.
